Services for Newton E. Webster, 76 of 1805 Forty-Seventh St. who died of a respiratory ailment Monday at Iowa Methodist Hospital, will be at 1:30 p.m. at Westover Funeral Home, 6337 Hickman Road. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery.
Mr. Webster was a sales broker for the Tanvilac Feed Co. for 30 years, retiring in 1952. Born in Grinnell, he had lived in Des Moines since 1922.
He was a member of the Grace Methodist Church, the Moose Lodge and Modern Woodmen of America.
Surviving are his widow Mabel; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Van Gorp of Des Moines, and Mrs. Ruth Dixon of Windom, Minn; three sons, Gerald S. of Colorado Springs, Colo; Everett G. of Los Angeles, Cal; and Ralph B.of Davenport; eight grand-children and 10 great grand-children.
