JODY L. PIERCE

Jody Lynn Pierce, Fullerton, Calif., formerly of Grinnell, will graduate May 25 from Pacific Christian College with a bachelor of arts degree in multiple-subject areas, a second major in Bible and a minor in English.

She is the daughter of Charles and Dorothy Pierce, Avondale, Ariz., originally from Grinnell and the granddaughter of Clarice Rivers and niece of Bernie Brown, Betty Paul, Nadine Allen and Ed Brand, all of Grinnell.

She earlier attended California State College and has attended Pacific Christian College the past three years where she played basketball and softball. The college's women's basketball team has been invited to a national tournament the last three years and Pierce has received national recognition as an honorable mention member of an All-American team her junior year.

She will enter a one-year graduate program to earn teaching credentials and expects to teach and coach in the future. She currently is assistant women's basketball coach at Citrus College, Glendora, Calif., and will continue to coach there this fall.
