STEMSRUD-SUMMERS

A wedding which took place at the close of the old year was that of Miss Clara Stemsrud of this city and Otto Summers of Tulsa, Oklahoma. The single ring ceremony was solemnized Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the bride's home on Seventh avenue, Rev. W.W. Woodburn officiating. Only the immediate family witnessed the ceremony. Mrs. Toby Alertson, an aunt of the bride, and daughters Alice and Helen from Northwood, Iowa, were the only out-of-town guests.

Mrs. Summers is a talented young lady and is well known here. She attended high school for 2-1/2 years and has been employed at the Morrison-Ricker factory for the last four months.

Mr. Summers has been here only a short time. He has been employed on a farm near Grinnell and has made many friends since coming here.

Mr. and Mrs. Summers left Tuesday evening and will make short visits in New Sharon, Ottumwa and Oskaloosa. They will return to Grinnell and will probably make their home here.
