ASBERRY INDICTED
BY GRAND JURY ON
STABBING CHARGE

Indictment of William A. Asberry, 30, of Grinnell by the district court grand jury on a charge of assault with intent to do great bodily harm was announced this morning in Montezuma.

Asberry was scheduled for arraignment in district court this afternoon.

The charge was based on an alleged stabbing incident in Grinnell Saturday night, August 18. Robert Gauley, 34, accused Asberry of using a knife in inflicting a surface wound along the former's ribs.

Asberry's indictment was the only one returned by the grand jury.
