WAYWARD LOVERS LOCKED UP
-------------------------------
Runaway Minnesota Pair Are Located
in Deep River

A pair of lovers from Minnesota of more ardor than discretion were brought before the bar of justice in Deep River last week, were properly frightened and turned loose in the informal custody of the brother of the lady, who promised that he would see them safe home again. The Juliet was Gladys Wilson, aged 15 years, and her Romeo was Bryan Minnick. The two were placed under arrest on a warrant sworn out by the brother who came from Stewart, Minn. The warrant charged elopement. They were taken to Montezuma, where they were placed in jail awaiting word as to their disposition from the Minnesota authorities. The young folks, who had been defiant, wilted badly when they found themselves confronted by the prospect of jail. However, the Minnesota authorities wired back that no proceedings were filed there against Minnick and they had no authority to act. The brother only wanted to give his wayward sister a good scare, and the lovers were turned loose as stated.
