SEVERELY BURNED
-----------------------------
Robert Souter's Son Lighted Powder
With Match

Montezuma Palladium: Robert Souter's eldest son, a lad of about nine years, was enjoying a little pre-Fourth of July last Saturday evening. The ordinary firecracker did not produce sufficient noise to suit, so he secured a loaded shell and emptied the powder into a pile. A light was then applied--and the doctor called right away.

The boy's face was pretty badly burned but he is getting along all right now. He says he will do it no more.

A few days ago the boy's brother fell out of a cherry tree and received a bad wound on the head. He, too, is getting along in good shape.

Boys will be boys.
