Announcement has been made here this week of the marriage of Bernie Ann Lippold, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. J.P. Lippold of Spencer, and Charles Manly II, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Manly. The wedding took place Sunday, August 21, 1949, in Minneapolis, Minn.

Both are students at Drake University in Des Moines, where the groom is in law school. He is a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity, while Mrs. Manly is a member of Delta Gamma sorority.
