John A. Longaker and Miss Gail Fisher were united in marriage at the Christian parsonage in Oskaloosa Monday, December 22, 1924, at 3 o'clock P.M. The Rev. Geo. E. Purdy conducted the double (ring) marriage service. They were accompanied by the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Fisher, and a brother, also by the groom's sister, Mrs. Jennie Wehrle.
The bride is one of New Sharon's popular and accomplished young women. Mr. Longaker is a son of Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Longaker and is connected with one of the business firms of New Sharon. Both are well known and have many friends in New Sharon and Mahaska county, where they have spent their lives, thus far. At a later date they are to be banqueted at the parental Fisher and Longaker homes. They will reside in New Sharon.--Oskaloosa Herald.
