SUFFER ACCIDENTS

While putting up hay Friday, Frank Veverka fell off a load of hay, cutting a deep gash in the back of his head.

Jake Morrow cut a deep gash on his left wrist Monday morning, with a pen knife. Several stitches were taken in the wound.

The youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Peterson received a badly sprained hip Friday when she fell downstairs.

Max, 9 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Alva Good, fell 10 feet from a hay mow, Monday, fracturing his left arm.

George Shook, 10 years old, who lives north of town, took a dare to hit a dynamite cap which was lying on a rock, with a hammer. The result is, that the lad is minus the end of his little finger on the left hand, his hand was filled with small pieces of brass, also his chest and legs are scratched by the pieces. He was given medical attention and is getting along as well as can be expected.

It seems luck has been against Mrs. Charles Gorsuch, during the past few days. One evening last week, she was cutting watermelon when the knife slipped, cutting a deep gash between two fingers on her left hand. Several stitches were necessary to close the wound.

All went well and good until Monday forenoon, when she started down the cellar steps; when she got to the bottom step, she stepped on an old shoe and fell to the cement floor. Her right ankle pained her and she thought it was just sprained. On Tuesday she was taken to a physician and it was discovered that one of the bones in the ankle was splintered. She is now getting along nicely.
