YOUNG COUPLE MARRIED HERE SUNDAY AFTERNOON

Lodi Tarvin, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Tarvin of Montezuma and Elmer Slagle, son of Verne Slagle of Brooklyn were married Sunday at 5 P.M. at the Presbyterian parsonage by the Reverend E.W.F. Holler. The young couple were attended by Floyd Tarvin and Iola McCaw of Montezuma. They are at home now in South Brooklyn at the Slagle home. Both the bride and groom are well known here. Elmer has lived here practically all his life, graduated from high school in the class of 1927 and has worked in Brooklyn since then. He is at present a valuable employee in the Post Office from which duties he is taking a two weeks vacation now.

The family has lived in Brooklyn for many years and many people here will read of Elmer's marriage with interest. The bride has been in Brooklyn more or less for the past three years. She was employed here for some time and has taught school in the county for two years after attending Cedar Falls. She is a graduate of the Montezuma High School in the class of 1928 and both she and her family are well and favorably known in and around Montezuma and Grinnell where they have lived.

These young people of the best sort will be a welcome addition to Brooklyn and the Chronicle wishes them every sort of happiness in the years to come.
