Grinnell Herald:
Dear Sir:

I got a letter from a friend in Grinnell and she sent me some clippings from your paper. You asked for the names of all the people who came to Grinnell between the year of '50 and '60.

My father, Richard Whitney, came to Grinnell in the year of '62. He lived in town for a year, then he moved out two miles south of town, and then they both lived there all their lives. I was born in '62 and spent my whole life there, till I came out to San Diego, Calif., twenty three years ago.

I was so glad to read the names that you had in the paper of the year of 50. Every one I know. How I wish I could be with you all on that Diamond Anniversary.
