A QUIET WEDDING

The marriage of Alva Sharer and Miss Lena Trimble Sunday afternoon in Ottumwa, is the culmination of a pretty little romance which had its beginning in the Montezuma High school several years ago. The bride was graduated from the local high school in 1910 and since that time she has been a successful teacher in the schools of Poweshiek county. The young couple quietly planned their nuptials, not taking their friends in on the secret, and the ceremony was performed at the C.J. Nelson home in Ottumwa, Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock, the Rev. R.F. Robertson of the Willard Street Methodist church officiating. The only witnesses to the ceremony were Mr. and Mrs. Nelson and Miss Pearl Trimble, sister of the bride, from Oskaloosa.

The bridal couple returned to Montezuma Monday evening and will begin housekeeping at once in the Miss Anna Blakely property. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Sharer and an excellent young man. He has been employed in the Geo. F. Johnston store for a number of years and has proven a valuable asset to the business. He is courteous, genial, and a hustler and has many friends in this community who will join the "Old Reliable" in extending congratulations. May they live long and prosper.
