Because of the illness of the preacher, the pulpit was supplied last Sunday. The parson is temporarily laid up with the flu. Hopes to be out by next Sunday but if not the congregation will enjoy the work of the volunteers. Mrs. Honn went to church last Sunday intending to preach at the morning meeting but at the close of her class period she was unable to speak from sore throat.

Miss Meyers supplied the pulpit at the evening meeting. Her sermon subject was "Youth and the Church." Only a fair crowd was out because of the snow storm and so much illness. Everyone was delighted with the address and many insisted that she had missed her calling as a teacher. We just want to say that while she worships with us she will both teach and preach.

Much fine comment has been heard about the splendid manner in which Miss Nelle Tish conducted the meeting through the study and worship period last Sunday. Vera Beason and Winnie Tish pleasingly sang "Angry Words Oh Let them Never" in the morning meeting with Mabel Beason singing a solo at night.

Meetings during the week are at the usual hour. Come to the next Sunday meetings and be assured that should the pastor "be out" that the Volunteers will have a worth while sermon for you. Yet, the Bible school made a gain of four last Sunday, "Were you there?"
