MARRIAGE OF RUTH SIMERAL AND ELGER MATHIES ANNOUNCED

To a small group of friends and relatives, Saturday evening, Oct. 13, Dr. and Mrs. F.E. Simeral announced the marriage of their daughter, Ruth, to Mr. Elger C. Mathies, son of Mrs. Alice Mathies of Birmingham, Ia.

Mrs. Mathies received her B.S. degree from the University of Iowa in June and completed her nurses' training course in the University hospital Oct. 9.

Mr. Mathies received his B.S. degree from the University of Iowa in June.

The party decorations were carried out in the colors of yellow and white, and after a few games of bridge were played, prizes were awarded to Mrs. Jennie Schmitz and Mrs. J.A Barnes.

Dainty refreshments were served and the guests departed after hearty congratulations and good wishes had been extended to Mrs. Mathies.--Brooklyn Chronicle.
