MONTEZUMA COUPLE WED IN OTTUMWA

Miss Garnette Steele and Cecil C. Wheeler both of Montezuma were united in marriage Saturday, August 31, at the Congregational parsonage in Ottumwa. The Rev. Blough performed the single ring ceremony. The bride was attired in Alice blue net over blue taffeta.

Mrs. Wheeler is a graduate of the Montezuma public schools and has been a successful teacher in the rural schools of this county. She attended the University at Iowa City for two years, and took some work at Iowa State Teachers college at Cedar Falls.

Mr. Wheeler is an excellent mechanic and is the proprietor of the Wheeler Repair shop, located in the McIlrath building.

In attendance at the wedding were Mrs. Ruth Steele, mother of the bride, and Miss Edna Perkins, step-sister of the groom. The couple will make their home in Montezuma.
