Mr. Beeler came to Poweshiek from Linn county in 1866 and on Jan. 22, 1871 was united in marriage to Miss Ellen C. Beeler. With the exception of two years this worthy couple have lived on the farm where they now reside.
Together they have made life worth living to a wide circle of neighbors and friends.
A large family of children have grown up into useful and successful citizens several of them located in Poweshiek.

During all these years the Beeler family have maintained an enviable reputation as examples of thrift, kindness and neighborly helfulness. Now in the sunset of life, respected and honored by all, The Herald joins with all other friends in wishing them a most happy voyage along the remaining journey of life.
