Some unknown thief, with a nose for meat broke into the smokehouse at the W.P. Johnson home southwest of Montezuma, Friday night and carried off eleven pieces of meat, hams, shoulders, and sides, that were worth $50 or $60. A lock on the smokehouse door was broken and left where it fell. This Mr. Johnson has as a reminder of the raid.--Montezuma Republican.
