MARRIED

LAROS-GOODRICH

Miss Naomi Laros and Ray Goodrich were married on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home of the bride's father, D.A. Laros. About forty guests, including relatives and close friends, witnessed the pretty ceremony, which was performed by Rev. W.B. Wilson.

A pleasing informality pervaded the whole occasion. The guests were met at the door by Miss Wilma Gibbs who directed them to the cloak rooms and on descending to the parlors they were greeted by the bride and groom. Promptly at the appointed hour Allen Bradley, of Montezuma, a student in the college, sang "Somewhere a Voice Is Calling," following which the bride and groom descended the stairs from an upper room, preceded by the officiating clergyman. They took their places in the parlor and the words of the impressive wedding ceremony were spoken. A ring service was used.

Mr. Bradley sang again while congratulations were offered, and a dainty three-course luncheon was served by girl friends of the bride.

The house was simply but beautifully decorated with potted plants and cut flowers.

Mrs. Goodrich was born and brought up in Grinnell and attended the public schools. She is a graduate of Grinnell high school, and was a student in college for some time. She has been an extremely successful teacher in the country schools. She comes of one of Grinnell's old and prominent families and her own charming personality has won scores of friends who offer their congratulations on this occasion. Mr. Goodrich is a son of Mrs. Fritz Gruhn, living east of town. He also is a Grinnell boy and attended the schools here. Just prior to his marriage he lived in Harvard, Ill., where he worked as an electrician.

Mr. and Mrs. Goodrich left on the evening train for a wedding trip to Des Moines and other points. They expect to be gone several days and on their return will be at home on a farm in Sheridan township.
