MISS PIERCE IS WED TO NEWTON MAN

Bernadine Aleen Pierce, daughter of Mrs. Clarice Pierce of Grinnell, and Vern Charles Sherman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Everett Nible of Newton, were married August 11 in the First Methodist church in Newton. Rev. Robert R. Banks performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride wore a white dress with blue accessories. The couple was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Smith of Newton, Mrs. Smith wore a plaid dressmaker suit.

Mr. and Mrs. Sherman are making their home in Newton where Mr. Sherman is employed by a construction firm. Mrs. Sherman graduated this spring from the Grinnell high school.
