SOME SNOW

Thirty-seven years ago on the 12th day of February, A.D. 1884, my father was buried in the Swan cemetery two miles slightly northwest of Lynnville. Water was running across the roads in some places yet the snow drifts were so deep men had to go ahead and shovel out the snow in places in order that the sleds and other vehicles could reach the place of interment. For two or three days afterward however, the weather was quite snappy, the thermometer registering a rather low mark.
