HE ASKS DAMAGES
Ike Gilbert, formerly of Grinnell was in the clerks office ( ?? ) afternoon in regard to his suit, which he is planning to bring against John Lincoln and J.L. McIlrath of Grinnell. It appears, according to Mr. Gilbert, that during the time he was living at the county home, Mr. McIlrath while mayor, ordered his home and furniture burned. He is asking for $500.00 from J.L., Mr. Lincoln will be sued for $1,000.00 for as Mr. Gilbert stated, he took care of him while he was sick and then turned him out into the cold in the nightime. Ike is now looking for Boyd.
