DEEP RIVER MAN
KICKED BY COLT

Cecil Cranston, living east of Deep River, suffered injuries to his lower jaw and head when he was kicked by a two-month-old colt, about six o'clock Tuesday morning. A number of stitches were taken to close wounds caused by the blow. Considerable blood came from his ears, and it is thought the jaw bone may be broken.

It is thought no permanent or serious injury was sustained, but Mr. Cranston is being kept quiet for a few days when x-rays will be taken to determine the extent of injuries to skull and jaw.

Mr. Cranston played on the Deep River kittenball team for several years, and is known to many here. He is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Cloyd Cranston of Deep River.
