MR. AND MRS. PIERCE
OBSERVE ANNIVERSARY

About eighty guests were present to help Mr. and Mrs. John Pierce observe their 50th wedding anniversary on last Thursday, Nov. 29.

Refreshments of cake and coffee were served to the guests.

The guests from out of town included, Mrs. Fay Smith and Charles Otto of Coon Rapids, Mrs. Pearl Haines, William Otto, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Keeney and Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Pierce of Grinnell, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Pierce and daughter Ruth of Iowa City,Mr. and Mrs. Joe Pierce of Fon Du Lac, Wis., Mr. and Mrs. Earl Hidde and son, Dale and Harny and Elmer Pierce of Milwaukee, Wis.

John and William Pierce who are in the service, were unable to be present.
