MARRIAGE SUNDAY

Doris Lucille Foster and Carl Thomas Binegar were united in marriage Sunday afternoon in a ceremony performed by the Rev. W.F. Overhulser in the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Thomas Foster of Newburg. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harley Binegar of Grinnell.

For the double ring ceremony, an archway of white carnations and sweetpeas with baskets of pink roses, white delphinium and daisies on either side had been provided.

The bride wore a white nylon damasse street-length dress with white accessories. Her flowers were a bouquet of pink roses and blue hyachinth with a removable corsage.

SISTER ATTENDS BRIDE

She was attended by her sister Edna who wore a street-length dress of pink nylon organdy with white accessories. Her flowers were an arrangement similar to the bride's of pink roses and yellow daisies.

Phyllis Foster, niece of the bride, and Judith Binegar, niece of the groom acted as ring bearers in dresses of white dotted-swiss. They carried rings in bouquets of roses.

Jack Muckler attended the groom. Both wore grey summer suits with white carnation boutenniers.

Mrs. Foster wore an aqua linen dress with brown accessories and a corsage of pink roses while Mrs. Binegar wore a flowered silk print dress with brown and white accessories and a rose corsage.

RECEPTION IN HOUSE

A small reception for the 34 wedding guests followed, with the table laid with a white lace cloth with a pink underground. Smilax surrounded the three-tiered wedding cake which was decorated with pink roses and topped with a miniature bride and groom. The refreshments included vanilla ice cream stenciled with pink bells, strawberry punch and pink and white mints.

Mrs. James Lynch, sister-in-law of the groom poured and Mrs. Lawrence Wallis, sister of the bride cut and served the cake. Mrs. Wilbur Foster and Mrs. Orville Foster, sisters-in-law of the bride, assisted in serving. Mrs. Bennie Foster had charge of the guest book. All wore corsages of pink, white and yellow carnations, sweetpeas and daisies.

TRIP TO MINNESOTA

Mrs. Binegar was attired in a lime rayon suit with navy accessories when the couple left for a short wedding trip to Minnesota. They will be at home on their return at 333 East street in Grinnell.

A graduate of Newburg high school, the bride has since been at home. Her husband, a graduate of Grinnell high school, is employed by Iowa Southern Utilities.

Out-of-town guests at the ceremony included Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Foster and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Wallis and Gary of Newburg; Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Foster, Phyllis and Billie of Kellogg; Mr. and Mrs. Harley Binegar, Mr. and Mrs. James Lynch with Judith Binegar, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Foster with Dennis, Jimmy and Mike, Mr. and Mrs. Bennie Foster with Ronald, Sue and Charlotte, and Jack Muckler of Grinnell; Mr. and Mrs. W.M. Comegys of Council Bluffs and Ed Ericson of Green Mountain.
