FAMILY OF MRS. MARY E. TURNEY HAS REUNION SUNDAY

Honoring Mr. and Mrs. Everett Tarvin of New York City, who have been visiting in Montezuma and Grinnell for the past week, the family of Mrs. Mary E. Turney held a reunion Sunday at Merrill park. Mrs. Turney has three great grandchildren who were present. They are: Katherine Slagel, Colleen and Gary Sherod. This was the first time that five of the cousins had ever met. A basket dinner was enjoyed at noon and the afternoon was spent socially.

Those present were: Mr. and Mrs. Everett Tarvin of New York City; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Tarvin, Bertha, Marjorie and Raymond, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Tarvin of Montezuma; Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Slagel and Katherine of Brooklyn; Mr. and Mrs. Will Squire and daughter, Ruby, of Mitchellville; Mrs. Gayle Hayes of Des Moines; Glen Dexter of Blue Point; Ernest Brignon of Searsboro and Doris Ruth McHenry of Oskaloosa. Those from Grinnell: Mrs. Mary E. Turney, Mr. and Mrs. Will Turney and son, George, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Squire, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Sherod and Colleen and Gary, Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Breiting, Mr. and Mrs. Walter G.
