H.L. TRIPLETT DISLOCATES SHOULDER WHEN LADDER SLIPS

H.L. Triplett is suffering from the effects of a dislocation of the right shoulder and A.E. Jacobson from various scratches and contusions as a result of a perilous experience while at work yesterday morning on the former Grinnell homestead now being made over into a boarding house at its new location on Broad street south of the tracks. The men were working on the roof and had a ladder which was supposed to be hooked over the ridge-pole. Mr. Triplett started up the ladder first and as he neared the top Mr. Jacobson started to follow when the ladder gave way and both men went sliding off the shingle roof onto the tin roof a short distance below. In the fall Mr. Triplett's shoulder was twisted in such a manner as to result in the dislocation. Jacobson was not much hurt.
