In the fall of 1856 the steam boiler in the saw-mill of Mr. Ephraim Cox burst, instantly killing Samuel Cox, aged twenty-six. He was blown through the roof of the mill, and his clothing entirely stripped off. This occurred one-half mile east of Dresden.
