ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED.

The engagement of Miss Louise Griffith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H.V. Griffith, and Mr. J. Louis Heisel, son of Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Heisel, was announced at a pretty party Wednesday evening at the Griffith home on Fifth Avenue.

The color scheme of pink and white was carried out effectively in the decorations and the dinner, with place cards of tiny brides and individual cakes, the latter containing between the layers, small cards which contained news of the engagement and the date October 12, 1923.

The guest list included Mrs. John Palmer, of Newburg; Miss Esther Engels, of Chicago; Miss Geraldine Horn, of Montezuma; Mrs. Ty Smith and the Misses Beryl Eaton, Burnise Moore, Amy Anderson, Ethel Ingerman, Viola Littrell, Maurine Losh, Dolora Schwab, Mildred Barnes and May Gilbert, of Grinnell.
