DAVIS, N.E.—Malcom Twp—pg 859. Druggist, Malcom. Is a native of Venango county, Pennsylvania, born February 21, 1846, and there received his education. In 1861 he enlisted in company I, One Hundred and Third Pennsylvania, and participated in the battles of Yorktown, Virginia, Williamsburg and Fair Oaks, where he was slightly wounded. Was taken prisoner at Plymouth, North Carolina, and sent to Andersonville, where he was kept one year and then sent to parol camp at Annapolis, Maryland. Was mustered out in 1865 and then returned to his native place, remaining until 1876, when he came to this county, settling in Malcom, and engaged in his present business. On the 18th day of December, 1868, he was united in marriage with Miss Ella Pander, of Beaver county, Pennsylvania. They have a family of three children living: Maud, John C. and Frank. Mr. Davis is a member of the I.O.O.F.
