DAVIS, F.D.—Malcom Twp—pg 859-60. Farmer and stock-raiser, section 14, P.O. Malcom. Was born in Venango county, Pennsylvania, in 1853; moved with his parents when very young to Wurtemburg, same State, where he was raised. He received a mercantile education, and was engaged in the mercantile business until 1877, when he came to this county and settled in Malcom. In 1878 he moved to his present location. Mr. D. was married, March 22, 1876, to Mrs. Kate Schaffer, of Butler county, Pennsylvania. They have one child living, Edith Laura. Lost one, an infant. He began business for himself on very limited means, and he now owns a farm of 120 acres of cultivated land, with four acres of timber. His farm is well stocked.
