BAILEY, W.S.—Grinnell Twp—pg 882. Farmer, section 2, P.O. Grinnell. Was born in Dearborn county, Indiana, February 11, 1823, and after leaving school commenced farming, which has been his occupation since. On the 1st of March, 1865, he removed to Davenport, Scott county, this State, resumed his chosen calling, and in October, of 1867, came to this county, where he now owns a farm of 200 acres of land, well improved, upon which is a good residence. Mr. B. has been twice married. First, in Indiana, September 25, 1849, to Miss Sarah A. Greer, daughter of Geo. Greer. By this union they have three children, two of whom are now living: Rachel K. and Millard F. Lost one, George A. His second wife was Miss Fannie Hastings, whom he married March 9, 1873. She was born in Ohio county, Indiana. The result of this union is two children: Blanche E. and Richard W.
