BAILEY, J.W.—Grinnell Twp—pg 881-2. Engineer for Morse & Whitney, grain dealers, Grinnell. Was born in Maryland, December 8th, 1848. His father, J.W. Bailey, Sr., was an agriculturist in that State. In early life J.W. followed the pursuits of his father, and resided in Maryland until 1872, to Miss Rhode Faulkes. By this union they have one child, Nettie. Mr. Bailey has been in the employ of Morse & Whitney for seven years and is one of their trusted employees. He is a Knight of Honor.
