I found my Edith Louise McCoy Beghtol here in the 1895 census index only after I read where her bother-in-law tracked her down in Council Bluffs to serve divorce papers. That was in July of 1896, in September the divorce was final. I have not been able to find her in the 1900 census under her married name nor maiden name. I'm not sure rather anyone has the marriage records for the intervening 3 1/2 years nor actual 1895 census listing but it's worth the try.
