In the 1880 census, this family is living in Warren Co., Greenfield Twp., IA as:

John W. Richards, 39, b. IN, farmer, father b. OH, mother b. VA
Reninnah (maybe Peninnah) Richards, wife, 40, b. OH (no notations about where her parents were born)
James W. Richards, son, 15, b. IA
Wellington W. Richards, son, 6, b. IA

In the 1910 census for Linn Co., Cedar Rapids, IA, page 150, it appears the son, Wellington W. Richards, is a druggist:

Richards, Wellington, 36, married once, for 13 yrs, b. IA, father b. IN, mother b. OH, merchant, druggist.
Richards, Nellie, 34, wife, married 13 yrs, gave birth to one child, one child survives, b. IA, parents both born NY
Richards, Larale (not sure of spelling), daughter, 10, b. IA
Stoody, Clarence, roomer, age 37
