Re: Annie Christina Olson

OLSON, TISHER

Annie Christina Olson was born 16/Dec/1881 in Valparaiso, Nebraska to Swedish immigrant parents, Olof and Lisa Olson. The family soon moved to Columbia County, Oregon where Annie Christina was orphaned at the age of twelve. Her mother died shortly after the birth of her 5th child. Her father, after re-marrying, was killed in a lumbering accident. The remarriage left Annie Christina with a half sister, Laura Mae Olson. Annie never married and basically lived a life of servitude in Oregon, back in Nebraska for a while and to the family of her half sister. Laura Mae married Cortland Endicott Tisher of Council Bluffs and died there on 27/Feb/1920 leaving her husband with 4 young children. Annie went to Council Bluffs to help Cortland with the children. Family history indicates that Annie Christina went back to Oregon when her services were no longer needed by the Tishers. I have had no success in finding her date and place of death in either of the two most logical places, Oregon or Nebraska. I'm wondering if she could have ended up in Pottawattamie County as her final resting place.
