Sylvester Smith Diaries

In Sylvester Marshall Smith's Obituary (died Feb. 22, 1880, Council Bluffs,)it states that Mr. Smith kept a diary his whole life. We are trying to find where the diary is.

Sylvester's wife, Elizabeth Frank Smith, died in Council Bluffs in 1891. She was living with her daughter Mary Florinda Smith Treynor and her husband Thomas P. Treynor at the time she died. Maybe they have the diary.

Other children alive were: George Franklin Smith (Council Bluffs), David Spencer Smith (Council Bluffs), and Joseph Sydney Smith (Kentucky).

Any help would certainly be appreciated.
