Friday, May 11, 1974Former Local Resident Dies
COUNCIL BLUFFS - Mrs. Walter (Mary) Wehr, 73, died Thursday at a Council Bluffs hospital. She had been in ill health for three years, and had been seriously ill one day.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at a west side Council Bluffs Catholic Church.
Mrs. Wehr was born in Jefferson County in 1901, the daughter of William and Frances Supalla. She grew up in Jefferson county, but had lived for many years in Council Bluffs.
She is survived by her husband; three children, Herman and Walter, Jr., both of Omaha, Neb., and Marjorie Van Scoy of Dallas, Tex.; a brother, A.L. Supalla of Pleasant Plain; two sisters, Ann Hess of Washington and Mrs. Glenn McClain of Fairfield. She was preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
