William C. "Bill" Masker

William C. "Bill" Masker, age 72, of Minden, Iowa, passed away February 1, 2012, at Immanuel Fontanelle Home in Omaha, Neb.

Bill was born January 11, 1940, in Neola, Iowa, to the late Joe and Loretta (Good) Masker, Jr. He graduated from St. Joseph High School, Neola in 1958, and served in the Iowa National Guard. Bill married Jeanette Brich on April 27, 1963, in Neola. They were blessed with 5 children, Julie, Pat, Ken, Mike and Jeanine. Bill was a lifelong farmer in the Neola-Minden area. He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Neola and served many years on the Minden Township Board.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Masker.

Bill is survived by his wife of 48 years, Jeanette Masker, of Minden; daughters, Julie Stewart and husband, Mike, and their children, Emily and Samuel Stewart, of San Antonio, Texas, Jeanine Masker, of Omaha; sons, Pat Masker, of Minden, and his daughter, Hannah Church, Ken Masker and wife, Ann, and their children, John, Matthew, and Jacob Masker, of Kearney, Neb., Mike Masker and wife, Amy, and their children, Mitchell and Madeline Masker, of Omaha; sisters, Betty Driver, of Minden, Mary Jo Burns and husband, Jim, of Omaha, Donna Scott and husband, Dick, of Underwood, Iowa; brother, Leo Masker and wife, Shirley, of Neola; sister-in-law, Jeanette Masker, of Omaha; many nieces and nephews.

Visitation with the family, Friday, 5 to 8 p.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Neola. Mass of Christian Burial, Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Rev. Raphael Masabakhwa, pastor will be the celebrant.

Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery with a lunch following at the parish hall. Memorials are suggested to St. Patrick's Catholic Church, St. Albert Schools, Neola, Iowa Fire & Rescue or charity of donor's choice.
