MARIAN L. ELLERBECK

Marian L. Ellerbeck, age 88, passed away Saturday, December 18, 2010, at Homestead Nursing Home in Lincoln, Neb.

She was born September 4, 1922, in Neola, Iowa. She graduated from Beebeetown High School and Omaha University. She was a lifetime member of Gaudette College in New York, and taught the deaf for many years at Iowa School for the Deaf and Prescott School in Lincoln. She and her husband resided in Mesa, Ariz., for 25 years and moved to Lincoln in 2006.

Marian is preceded in death by her son, Lenny; and parents, Lloyd and Mae Thomas.

She is survived by her husband, Merele, of 68 years; her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Kathie Ellerbeck, of Lincoln, Neb.; grandchildren, Mike and Nancy Ellerbeck, of Chandler, Ariz., Mark and Robin Ellerbeck, of Schleswig, Iowa; Jane and Mark Donnelly, of Spring Lake, Mich., Shelly and Josh Kaufman, of Omaha, Neb.; great-grandchildren, Michael, Jacob, Bailey and Megan Ellerbeck, Alex, Emma and Isabel Donnelly; and daughters-in-law, Linda Ellerbeck and Mary Ellerbeck; many nieces and nephews.

A Memorial service will be held 1 p.m., Monday, December 27, 2010, at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel with visitation one hour prior.

Burial of cremains will be at Ridgewood Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Research.
