Paul Harrison Miller

Paul Harrison Miller, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at Risen Son at the age of 92 years.

He was born in Neola, Iowa, on March 8, 1919, to George and Letha Harrison Miller and graduated from Neola High School in 1935, at the age of 16. He served his country in the US Army during WWII, and was a longtime farmer in the Persia and Beebeetown areas, and also worked for Farm Service in Logan, Iowa. Paul was a lifelong member and Elder at First Presbyterian Church in Neola.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Gladys; and second wife, Lois; daughter, Susan Johnson (2004); sister, Ella Campbell Steele.

Paul leaves to mourn his daughter, Sarah Gregg and husband, Richard, of Pennington, N.J.; and son, Stephen Miller and wife, Wendy, of Maryville, Mo.; six grandchildren, and one great grandchild; stepdaughter, Bonnie Patrick and husband, Richard, of Council Bluffs; step son, Ray McManus, of Oakland, Iowa; two step grandchildren; son-in-law, Ron Johnson; sister, Wilda Ellerbeck, of LaVista, Neb.

Visitation with family, Friday, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Funeral services Saturday 10 a.m., First Presbyterian Church, Neola, Iowa.

Interment Neola Cemetery with military rites by Neola American Legion.

Luncheon will follow back at church
