Charlotte A. M. Floerchinger

Charlotte A. M. Floerchinger, age 79, of Council Bluffs, passed away November 21, 2011, at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

She was born September 27, 1932, in Council Bluffs, to the late Gerald N. and Margaret (Hinrichs) Osborne. She graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1950. On April 2, 1960, in Denver, Colo., Charlotte married John Floerchinger. They moved back to Council Bluffs and Charlotte worked as a secretary for the Council Bluffs Community Schools for 25 years, retiring in 1993. Charlotte was a member of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church and Sarah Circle.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, John Floerchinger, in 1998; and her sister, Constance Dalbey, in 2000.

She is survived by sons, Curt (Sarah) Floerchinger, of Overland Park, Kan., John (Sue) Floerchinger, of Council Bluffs; stepdaughter, Sherri Brown, of San Jose, Calif.; stepson, Kerry Floerchinger, of Denver, Colo.; 4 grandchildren and 4 step grandchildren.

Prayer Service, Tuesday, 6 p.m., followed by visitation with the family until 8 p.m., at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Funeral Service, Wednesday, 10 a.m., at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church with Rev. Nathan Sherrill, Pastor officiating. Interment Neola, Iowa Township Cemetery with a lunch following at the church hall. Memorials are suggested to the church or the Diabetes Foundation.
