Virginia L. "Ginny" Stange, age 80, of Council Bluffs, passed away June 25, 2011, after 3 months of care with Hospice with Heart, at Bethany Lutheran Home.

Ginny was born March 3, 1931, in Council Bluffs, to Elmer and Arlene (Wight) Johnson. She graduated from Underwood, Iowa High School in 1948. She married Donald "Ozz" Stange, in 1948, and to this union six children were born, Geri, JoLinda, Whitey, John, Donald, Jr. and Robert.

Ginny sold and coordinated sales for Shaklee Products for many years. She was a member of Community of Christ Church; a past member of the Neola, Iowa Community Choir. Along with her love for music, Ginny loved to fish and was an avid card player.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald "Ozz" Stange, in 1982; sons, Donald Stange, Jr., in 2002, Robert Stange, in 2008; parents, Elmer Johnson and Arlene Johnson Dugger.

Ginny is survived by her daughters, Geri (Dennis) Nelson, of Treynor, Iowa, JoLinda (Ron) Kerber, of McClelland, Iowa; sons, Whitey (Lisa) Stange, of Johnston, Iowa, John Stange, of McClelland, Iowa; 14 grandchildren, Russell, Wesley, Jeffrey Nelson, Sheri Millard, Rosa LaPuente-Flowers, Shelly Kerber, Jennifer Igou, Kristine Anderson, Heidi Love, Austin, Tyler, Hunter, Michael and Matthew Stange; 22 great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family, Tuesday, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Bayliss Park Chapel. Funeral service, Wednesday, 10 a.m., at Community of Christ Church, 140 West Kanesville Blvd.

Interment Hardin Township Cemetery with a lunch following at the church.

The family will direct memorials.
