Joseph John Stelovich, age 85, passed away January 29, 1998, in Salt Lake City.
The world will be a darker place without Joe. For those of us who knew him, know that in the next life the gates are wide open to welcome him, the sun is shining so he will stay warm and the cards are all ready for his next poker game.What he was in life was bigger than life itself, and what he was in death was courageous, valiant and full of stories to the end. He was a proud man with a generous nature and will be remembered always.
He is survived by his wife Jean, one son Steve D. Stelovich (Boston, MA), one daughter Kaye (Brent L.) Neilson; two grandsons, Gerald, Brett; two brothers, and one sister, Frank and Tom Stelovich, Katherine Jackson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 2, 1998, 1 p.m., at the Holbrook Mortuary, 3251 South 2300 East, Salt Lake City, UT, where friends may call on Monday, for one hour prior to the services. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to your favorite charity organization. Interment: Larkin Sunset Lawn Memorial Park, 2350 East 1300 South. Funeral Directors: The Holbrook Mortuary.
