Obituary
Kathryn "Katie" (Pavich) Self, 85, of Omaha died Dec. 5 at Immanuel Fontanelle Home in Omaha.
She was born Dec. 13, 1918, in Council Bluffs to Guy and Josephine (Pavelich) Pavich. She was a short order cook at Kelly's Restaurant in La Vista, Neb., for 12 years and then worked part-time at Stockade Restaurant in Omaha. She was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Omaha.
Survivors include son, Kenneth Self, and wife, Bonnie, of Gretna, Neb.; stepson, Robert Self, and wife, Kathy, of Gretna, Neb.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Daneff and husband, Joseph Sr., of Omaha; brother, Emil Pavich, of Council Bluffs; brother-in-law, Carl Ulmer, of Council Bluffs; many nieces and nephews.
Wake service will be Wednesday at 7 p.m. followed by visitation until 8:30 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with the Rev. Glen Wilwerding officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery with a luncheon following at Holy Family Church Hall.
Memorials may be offered to Holy Family Catholic Church.
