Lorraine M. Trzeciak, 83, of Crescent, formerly of Council Bluffs and Avoca, died May 20 at Alegent Health Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha.

She was born to Peter and Anna (Wolfe) Russmann June 27, 1919, in Avoca. She attended Avoca High School.

She was a clerk for Joe Smith Co., and later worked as an assembler at Peterson Radio. She was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, American Legion Rainbow Post No. 2 Ladies Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard "Ben" Trzeciak in 1978; a son, Ted Trzeciak in 2000; two sisters, Linda Updike and Lilly Russmann; and two brothers, Clarence and Herbert Russman.

She is survived by a daughter-in-law, Dee Trzeciak of Council Bluffs; three grandchildren, Denise Moeller of Sioux City, David Trzeciak of Polk City and Susan Schneider of Biloxi, Miss.; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Russman of Council Bluffs; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be today from 7 to 8 p.m. at the mortuary.

The funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with the Rev. Mark Kukkonen officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery with a luncheon following at the American Legion Club.

Memorials may be offered to the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary.
