The funeral for Dean Arnold Gunzenhauser, 71, of Council Bluffs will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Timothy Lutheran Church with the Rev. Michael Petri officiating.

Mr. Gunzenhauser died May 15 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

He was born in Osmond, Neb. He lived in Council Bluffs since 1958 and served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He owned a truck line.

He and his wife, Luella "Lu" (Gustafson) were married 49 1/2 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include four sons, Tom and Brian, both of Council Bluffs, Tim of Valparaiso, Ind., Carl of Camp Pendleton, Calif.; two daughters, Dianna Smith of Oakland, and Jeanette Allee of Hayfield, Minn.; two brothers, Gale Gunzenhauser of Casper, Wyo., and David Bridenbaugh of Sioux City, Neb.; four sisters, Pat Bacus, Bonnie Stoops, Judy Nation and Lynn McMurry, all of Casper; 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the church with a prayer service to follow. McCurdy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be offered to Timothy Lutheran Church, 3112 W. Broadway.
