TREYNOR - Yvonne "Bonnie" F. Vorthmann, 69, of Treynor died May 10 at the Nebraska Health System's University Hospital in Omaha.

She was one of six children of Fremodt Bondo and Mildred (Spencer) Hansen of rural Underwood. She graduated from Underwood High School in 1952 and attended teacher's training at Dana College in Blair, Neb.

She married Alfred H. Vorthmann at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Underwood on May 3, 1954, and lived south of Treynor.

She was a homemaker and and owned a small country store on Main Street in Treynor form 1986-96.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Treynor and an associate member of the American Lutheran Church of Sun City, Ariz.

Survivors in addition to her husband include a daughter, Jill Hook and husband, David, of Newton; three sons Kirk and wife, Lynell, and Niles of Treynor, Aaron and wife, Teri, of Carson; three sisters, Nancy Kagel of St. Louis, Gloria Logerman and husband, Jim, of Houston, Gayla Neumiester and husband, Michael, of Mt. Vernon; two brothers, Gary Hansen of Door County, Wis., Tim Hansen and wife, Kathy, of Clarinda; mother-in-law Rieka Vorthmann of Oakland.

Visitation with family will be held at St. Paul Monday from 6 to 8 p.m.

Funeral service will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul.

Funeral arrangements are being made by Hertz Funeral Home.
