Lydia Willa Exline, 91, of Council Bluffs died May 1 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.

She was born Aug. 17, 1911, in Council Bluffs to Levi Wingate and Ella Hammond. She was a graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School and Business College. She was a bookkeeper for 24 years for Parawax Company, retiring in 1974. She was a lifetime member of First Baptist Church and belonged to its Mary Martha Circle. She was a volunteer for Jennie Edmundson Hospital and past president of the Senior Citizen Board. She also lived at Regal Towers.

Mrs. Exline was preceded in death by her husband, Amlick; daughters, Janice Exline and Emily Randazzo; and son, Richard Exline.

Survivors include two sons, Gary and wife, Lois, of Council Bluffs and Jack and wife, Betty, of Lakeside, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Greg Krumbach of First Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery. A luncheon will follow the committal at First Baptist Church.

Memorials may be offered to First Baptist Church.
