Dorothy M. Hemmingsen (Larsen)

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. - Dorothy M. Hemmingsen (Larsen), 93, died April 17 in Independence, Mo.

She was born in Little Sioux and had previously lived in Council Bluffs. She was a church secretary for Community of Christ Church, where she was a member.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Ervin Larsen and her second husband, Everett Hemmingsen.

Survivors include two sisters, Virgil Bellville of Council Bluffs and Hazel Jones of Ontario, Canada; a stepdaughter, Diane Murray of Crescent; two grandsons and nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Hazel Dell Cemetery with elder Tom Arnold of Community of Christ Church officiating and family and friends meeting at the cemetery. Burial will be in Hazel Dell Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home.
