Bill Probst

The funeral for Bill Probst, 78, of Pacific Junction will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Cutler-O'Neill-Meyer-Woodring Funeral Home with the Rev. Gene Springer officiating.

Mr. Probst died April 20 in Omaha.

He was born June 22, 1924, in Counicl Bluffs to Willie Probst and Bertha Sage Probst. He previously lived in Council Bluffs moving to Pacific Junction 22 years ago. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He formerly owned Corner Grocery in Council Bluffs, Rainbow Roller Drum in Council Bluffs, Rolla Rena West and East, Mario's Steakhouse, Dairy Princess in Glenwood, Wheels of Fun in Lawrence, Kan., and was currently operating Wheels of Fun Skating Center on 29th Street in Council Bluffs. He was a member of Roller Skating Operators of America.

Mr. Probst and his wife, Delores, were married 61 years.

Survivors in addition to his wife include three daughters, Diana Taylor and husband, Harold, of Imogene, Trudy Evans and husband, Jim, of Council Bluffs and Dr. Billie Means and husbnd, Randy, of Flower Mound, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Roberta Palmer, and husband, Mac, of Council Bluffs; two nieces.

Visitation with the family will be tonight from 7 to 9 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lewis Township Cemetery with a luncheon at St. Peter's Social Hall.

Memorials may be offered to SOLAS.
